Britannica Image Quest allows you to save images to your Lightbox as you are browsing. Once images are in your Lightbox, you can do a variety of things with them.
A box in the upper right of the screen shows the number of images you have in your Lightbox. Clicking this box will also take you to the Lightbox.
NOTE: The Lightbox is cleared every time you log out of Image Quest or close your browser window, therefore if you do either of these actions the images in your Lightbox will not be saved.
Adding Images to the Lightbox
There are two ways to add an image to the Lightbox:
1. From the search results page, click the “Add to Lightbox” icon next to the image you want to add.
2. From an image information page, click the “Add to Lightbox” button in the upper right of the page.
Lightbox Features
When you view your Lightbox you will see all the images in the order you added them. To view the image information page, click the image title. Above the images is a list of the actions you can take with each or all of the images.
You can click the box to select individual images or click "Select All" to select all the images in your Lightbox. Click "Select None" to remove all your selections. Once you have selected images you can perform any of the following actions:
Takes the selected images in the Lightbox, including the image titles and credits, and creates a PDF file. Adobe Acrobat will open. From here you can print the document.

NOTE: You can also save the PDF if you want to save a contact sheet of your images.
Download
Takes the selected images in the Lightbox and puts them in a zip file for you to save locally on your computer.
Allows you to send the selected images in your Lightbox to your e-mail address or someone else’s. A file with each of the images info will also be sent.
Closing the Lightbox
Clicking the “Close” link on the Lightbox will take you to the last page you were on before you viewed the Lightbox.
